View Full Version : Best cases
I usually prefer to keep my DAPs naked, but whenever I'm in the market for a new case, I always check out these brands first:

http://www.vajacases.com/
They're more expensive than a lot of other brands (Noreve: $40-$60, Vaja: $40-$200+), but it's definitely a case of "you get what you pay for." Quality is top notch, their selection is good, and they make cases for other gadgets too.
What kinds of cases do you use to protect your MP3 players?

I like the BoxWave Flexi-skin line of silicon cases. I use one on my ZV:M.

I'm using an invisibleShield on my ipod Touch. I like it because it looks as if it isn't being protected but in fact it is. Plus I like how grippy it gets with this shield and it doesn't make the player any bigger, like other cases.

That is a cool case! Is it stainless steel or aluminum? Who is the manufacturer? I'm really interested.

Hey Blitz. It's from http://www.yotank.com/products.html
It's machined from solid aluminum.
Our Creative Zen Vision:M case is designed to fit the Creative Zen Vision:M 30GB and 60GB perfectly and has ports cut out for recharging, using the hold/power switch and headphones.
The ZenTank Vision:M is machined from solid aluminum bar and polished to a mirror like finish, and the screen is protected by machined lexan; which makes the case virtually unbreakable. The inside of the case is also lined with soft felt to ensure your player doesn't slide around or touch the aluminum. When your Creative Zen Vision:M is in our ZenTank case, it will be protected from bumps, falls, and scratches.
The Vision:M case used to retail for $79.95, but because it's no longer being produced, they've dropped the price. So I think I'm there!! :D
They have cases for iPod's and what not as well.

IS, or Best Skins Ever are definately the way to go to give a gadget the ultimate in protection. They can be tricky to apply, but the results are terrific.

Smartphone Experts usually makes good looking cases which offer decent protection. If you are looking to spend ~$20, SPE should be a major contender in your candidate pool. I've always used their cases for all of my phones. They also make sync cables and other accessories which are of great quality.

I have taken to using Golla (http://www.golla.fi/index_flash.html)cloth cases for my MP3 players and phone after I got tired of belt clips breaking on Krusell cases.
They are inexpensive, attractive, intensely durable and extremely useful and versatile. Best parts are that there are several pockets for carrying bits and pieces (for example along with my Moto Q I carry a spare battery and a 4G flash drive) and the steel mountaineering clip hooks the case easily on my belt loop and comes off just as easily, and the device is easier to get to since the case is not rigidly stuck on my belt.

They both look nice but.....no nokia n810 case? I not letting $400 go down the drain from a little drop! more nokia cases!
EDIT: Vaja does have an n810 case and it looks nice but....doesn't look like much protection....

Yep. I'll have to get some decent photo's and get them when I have a chance. Pretty cool, but there are a couple of con's to this thing. I'll give a short write up when I get home from work.
