Is it possible to turn a ultra portable laptop such as a eee/wind/mininote into a Redfly clone?

A Redfly is similar in concept to the Foleo... except it just displays whats already on your smartphone, so its not its own programs or anything like that. Only works with WM Pro at this point as far as I know.

Well, I'm not sure myself, now that these netbooks are down to the same price as it.
They're apparently trying to market it to corporations.. because the companies won't have to support a laptop and a smartphone, but just the smartphone and this companion device.. which since it doesn't have any software of its own, means they're really only supporting the smartphones. |

O i guess thats fair enuf a large sat nav would be nice, its a bit costly mind, but if you have the money fair enough.

my point is, Redfly is well overpriced $500 when it should be $100 as I intend to get eee 901 or the wind it would be great if I could use it with my smartphone

A good (Java) programmer could make an ultraportable operate similar to this. Getting the input from the keyboard/touchpad of the ultraportable to the cell phone would be the easiest part, the difficult part would come from getting the screen data onto the ultraportable. I'm curious as to how that works on the redfly. If the phone only has a 320x240 display or similarly low, how does that scale to a higher res screen?
